In this new video, Danyal and I return to put another Arab indie game under the microscope, this time focusing on our brother Nedal from Algeria and his indie trilogy. We dive deep into the code using reverse engineering to show how performance can be improved and common programming mistakes avoided—such as heavy loops and redundant coding instead of using component systems. Meanwhile, Danyal analyzes the story and narrative, pointing out plot holes and repetition in the earlier parts, while highly praising the significant evolution in gameplay and the highly enjoyable level design in the third installment. Our goal, as always, is to provide constructive criticism that combines technical and artistic aspects, helping developers avoid these traps and elevating the quality of Arab games to competitive levels.
